My dear, dear friend Sharon:
I think about you numerous times every day, you and your loved ones. Now when I think about you, and your sister Debbie, I always picture the two of you running through fields of magnificent flowers the likes of which we will never know in this dimension. The two of you are holding hands and laughing. How you loved your flowers. The seasons are changing and the hummingbirds are gone. Soon the flowers will be gone. There is something every season that reminds me of you, when the snow flies I will be thinking about skiing with you and will feel your excitement with each and every snow storm. I am relieved that you are in a better place but hope that you are not pushing everyone there too hard. When the rest of us get there you can update us on all the new committees you have formed. I'm quite sure you already have our assignments picked out for us. Can you please, please, give me something simple to do? Today is your birthday my friend but birthdays don't matter anymore, it's all about peace. I wish you and Debbie nothing but eternal peace and happiness. Happy New Birth, my friend. I love you so much, more than I could ever express with mere words.
Love you FOREVER.......

My Dear Friend Sharon:
We never put out the hummingbird feeders in the spring, just didn't have the interest this year. The day you went to Branford Tom hung a finch feeder in the backyard, hoping to attract a little happiness but they never came. On Saturday night, as I sat outside reflecting, the birds were unusually quiet and remained out of sight. Even the squirrels and chipmunks who normally come to the terrace stayed back. It was as if all God's little creatures were sharing in my disbelief, showing their respect. Suddenly, a large yellow butterfly began flying back and forth, dipping and soaring. As I watched its dance my eyes were led to the feeder and there they were, several yellow finches happily feeding. Then to my amazement, a green hummingbird appeared at the lilies almost within my reach. I looked up and said aloud, "Thank you Sharon" for I knew it was you comforting me as only you could. The hummingbird continues to return several times a day and is now bringing friends. I will never look at a flower the same way. I will always be compelled to look more deeply. I will be watching the critters more closely too. Forevermore, watching and waiting for messages from you. Thank you for being a friend.
Love, Lauren T.

God bless you, Mrs. Mielcarz. You made it your job to make every person who you encountered feel welcome and important. After such a long battle, heaven finally called you home and though you will be missed here on Earth, I'm confident that ill still hear your clicky heels as you watch and guide us from above. Rest in peace, you beautiful woman. And thank you.

I owe my financial responsibility and stability to Mrs Sharon Mielcarz. She was my accounting class teacher at St. Paul's CHS. She taught me one of life's most important lessons. And she taught me how to deal with being short with humor. I owe her a great deal and will surely miss her. The world is lessened by her loss. We, those who remember her, must take it upon ourselves to remind the world how brightly Sharon shone by allowing ourselves to travel in her footsteps and to shine just as brightly. Much love and respect from a former student.

Mr. Mielcarz and Jeff -
Our deepest sympathy in the passing of your wife and mother. Our son and his fiance are 2007 graduates of St. Paul. From the first day I met Sharon - I felt her warmth. She welcomed us into the St. Paul l community with open arms. The last time I saw Sharon we ran into each other shopping - she asked about my son and his fiance - she was thrilled they were doing well and still dating. She is a special person whose love of life and passion for others was greater than her petite size.
Truly,
Mila Limson and Joe Shea

Sharon was an amazing mother-in-law to me for 10 years. I loved her very much and loved being a part of the Mielcarz family - there is nobody else like them, that's for sure! :) We shared so many laughs, meals, cocktails, special occasions, holidays and vacations together that I will always remember with a smile. She was the best hostess, the best cook, the perfect shopping partner and had an infectious laugh! She even had my cat booties out to walk around the house every time I visited <3 I am so lucky and thankful that I got to be part of her life and learn everything I did from her. I will treasure our memories always.

So sad to hear about "Mrs Mielcarz" I read on face book this morning that she had passed. I am so sorry. My name is Becky Caron Madore and I graduated from St. Pauls in 85' and had her for business classes. She has always been near and dear to my heart. I will always remember her for getting me my first job at Bristol Savings Bank through another student of hers, Ellen Cox. She was always so bubbly....so tiny yet larger than life. I remember vividly babysitting for Jeff and having him perform a "KISS" concert for me. I was responsible for the lighting and he did his thing LOL. Mrs Mielcarz would always laugh and say "that's Jeffrey" My heart is sad for you I will keep you in my prayers

Mielcarz Family - I will always think fondly of "Mrs. Mielcarz". She led my senior class through graduation. I will always remember her energy, her smile, and her all knowing glances....she always knew when we were up to no good. I also randomly ran into her on my wedding day on a beach in Brewster, MA! An added fun reunion on a fun day. She touched so many people. I only have positive thoughts about her, she truly had a gift. I hate that she suffered with cancer on and off in her life and I am sure you did too. Sending you peaceful and healing thoughts.

Mrs. Mielcarz had a big impact on my life at Saint Paul (more then she probably knew). She was accepting of where we were at in life as teenagers and loved us like a second mother. She gave me and one of my close friends nicknames and we did the same for her. She was full of love and I will never forget her. My heart goes out to her husband, son, and family at this time. We will all be able to see her again in eternity and until then she will stay close in our hearts with the memories she left us.

Words cannot adequately express Sharon and I have been struggling to find the right words since she passed. I feel most blessed to have known her and to have had her as a mentor at SPCHS! Her presence will ever be felt there. While she did not attend SP as a student, she will forever be a part of the falcon family! We all know how much she loved you both - you were her world!

I hope I can be half the person she was. God bless and you can be assured that heaven's newest little angel will always be watching over you!

I am saddened to hear of Sharons passing, if fact she came up in conversation last Weds evening, when I learned of her illness, to this day and right now as I sit here "typing" I can't help but remember her, as I correct my hand placement (she taught me personal use typing long before we had these new fangled computers) She also assisted in several plays and variety shows, where her devotion to her students always showed through........

I think of her guidence at St Paul, her glowing smile and friendly manner, she will be missed by all that she touched through the years, God Speed Sharon...you go to a greater place........

Mrs. Mielcarz was the very first person at St. Paul Catholic High School that helped me feel happy. Anxiety ridden about starting a new school, she made the first day/year of school bearable with her wonderful smile and welcoming personality. As years went on, we became closer. She was, without a doubt, the strongest woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Even throughout her illness, she remained happy and always lived her life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment with this woman, and it is truly so sad to see her go. We must remember, though, that she is in a better place now and at peace. The Saint Paul/Bristol community will miss her terribly, but no doubt her legacy will carry on. Mrs. Mielcarz, you were a very special woman and will always be remembered. God Bless.
