Dear Kurt and Lori,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Lori, your uncle was very lucky to have you looking after him to make sure he was taken care of. You are all very blessed to have had each other and the time you spent together.

Love,

Lynn and Gary

I drove into my driveway Tuesday evening, Danny, and instinctively looked for your living room light to be on. Lord, it being off and you in heaven hit me at the same time. Miss you so much my good friend (since 1972!). Always remember you were the bartender for my wedding in 1976 at the after-party, fixing any of our house issues (you name it!), your always snow removal and lawn mowing for me & my Mom (me bringing you a hat for your head!), sitting on lawn chairs in front of our garage in good weather and talking for a long time (until the skunks came out!), coming over our house for special-occasion dinners (or just for supper!), talking on the back patio on lazy summer afternoons with the neighbors, taking you grocery shopping, sitting and talking in your house. Lord, I miss you SO much, Danny, I will SO MISS our fair-weathered activities coming up this season, but you are in sweet peace with your family and friends in heaven, and I am happy for your eternal peace. Love you, our Danny, and will always cherish your friendship/family connection until we meet again ... our guy/our love! Going to take some long getting used to without you here, darn!, but walk in your beautiful peace, baby! Thank you for being such an incredibly beautiful gift in all of our lives, Danny! Man, you left a great impression and life lessons for us. We were honored and blessed to know you here on Earth!! Love you, Danny!!! Pat; and Helen Niski.

Friday I come and say my final good bye to you Buddy. I cannot count the times and the ways you have always been there for me. I miss you and love you so much. I am so happy for you that you are not suffering anymore and that you are with Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, Judy, Jose , your daughter and the rest of our family. Make sure you tell Mommy to make you some Tomato Soy. I still have a jar here for your name on it. I don't know or understand why God has taken everyone from us but I am assuming he needs you more than he thinks we do. I am so thankful for all the talks we have had and the times we did get to spend together. You have alot of very wonderful friends(family). I have only met a couple but I am sure I will see alot more of them friday when I come to see you. I am so glad they have all been there for you. I love you my one and only big brother and I will miss you every minute of every day until we meet again. Rest in Peace and say hi and give everyone our love. I will never forget all the talks we had, in person, on the phone and on facebook.

To really know my big brother is to love him. He is the kindest, loving, wonderful, generous man there is and everyone who really knew him knows that.

I love you Buddy.

I know this is supposed to be condolences for the family, but I also know Buddy is reading every single one of these posts.

If you ever sat and spent time with Danny in his final days on the temporary place we call earth, you would know that he was ready to leave and be with his Sunshine, his lord. I know That my Friend is safe and truly happy and he knows I will meet him on the other side and he will be waiting for all of us who believe that God has prepared a place for his children as He promised, so My Melnick this is not goodbye this is safe me a seat at the Table next to you, I’ll be seeing you, Shalom.

I was eighteen years old when you came into my life. Little did we both know the trials and tribulations we would go thru together for forty plus years.I am here thanking God for putting you in my life. I also thank the Lord for allowing us both to say what needed to be said, before you went home. I still want to say thank you again for never giving up on me,for Loving me as I am. Thank you again for the tough love that at times broke your heart. Know one ever like my Sunshine. My one regret I have is never telling you how much this song reminds me of your faith. Faith I once lost that you helped me restore. It's called God Is. Here are the words that will keep you close and remind all of your faith and the man you are. Love you Sunshine. I will never shed a tear of loss for you, only tears for the man who Loved me enough to never give up on me and walked beside me every step of the way unselfishly.

God is my protection. God is my all in all.God is my light and darkness.God is my all and all.God is my joy in times of sorrow. God is my all and all. God is my today and tomorrow. God is my all and all. God is the joy and the strength of my life. He moves all pain mystery and strife. He promised to keep me,never leave me. He'll never never fall short of his word. I've got to fast and pray, stay in his narrow way. I've got to keep my life clean everyday. I want to go with him when he comes back. I've come to far and I'll turn back. God is my all and all.
That's you Sunshine all the way. I will always remember and cherish our time together while you were here. Keep being my Angel because I still need you my Sunshine.xoxo forever.

My Uncle asked me to share the following passage:

I Know Something Good About You

Wouldn't this old world be better
If the folks we meet would say,
"I know something good about you!"
And then treat us just that way?

Wouldn't it be fine and dandy
If each handclasp warm and true,
Carried with it this assurance,
"I know something good about you!"

Wouldn't life be lots more happy,
If the good that's in us all
Were the only thing about us
That folks bothered to recall?

Wouldn't life be lots more happy,
If we praised the good we see?
For there's such a lot of goodness
In the worst of you and me.

Wouldn't it be nice to practice
That fine way of thinking, too?
You know something good about me,
I know something good about you.
