Barbara (Sullivan) Duhaime, 80, of Avon, widow of Richard E. Duhaime Sr., died on Tuesday (April 10, 2007) at Brightview of Avon. Mrs. Duhaime was born in Hartford on May 29, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Jeramiah and Julia Sullivan. She resided in Bristol for 26 years before moving to West Hartford in 1986 and she worked at St. Francis Hospital for 10 years. Mrs. Duhaime is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Richard E. Duhaime Jr. and Diane Duhaime of Farmington, and John T. Duhaime of Bristol; two daughters and sons in law, Julia M. and Robert Nixon of South Dartmouth, MA, and Fayne A. and Mark Lewis of South Windsor; a sister, Rita Sullivan, of West Hartford; two grandchildren, Margaret and Thomas C. Nixon; and several special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, the Rev. John Sullivan, and two sisters Mary McKone and Jean Sullivan. Funeral services will be held on Friday (April 13, 2007) at 10 AM from Funk Funeral Home 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Gregory Church, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday between 5 and 8 PM.
