Theresa M. Begin

Theresa M. (Fortin) Begin, 90, of Bristol, widow of Bertrand Begin, Sr., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bristol Hospital. Theresa was born in Canada on March 16, 1933 and was one of sixteen to the late Delphis and Amanda (Dionne) Fortin. She loved her family above all and was extremely generous. Theresa is survived by five children: Bertrand Begin, Jr. of Canton, Daniel (Theresa) Begin of Bristol, Roger (Debbie) Begin of Terryville, Phyllis (Wayne) Crist of New Jersey and Sandra (Roman) Szmurlo of Southington; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five siblings and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter Rachel Bernier and her son Eugene Begin. 

The visiting hour will be this Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 10 to 11 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol.  A catholic service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
