Shane J. Dube

Shane J. Dube, 49, of Bristol, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained during a hit and run accident in Waterbury. 

Shane was born on December 17, 1971 in Tampa, FL and was a son of the late Dennis and Barbara (Stone) Dube. He grew up in Hinsdale, NH and formerly resided in Clearwater/St. Petersburg, FL area and New Milford, CT before moving to Bristol in 2013. He worked as an auto-body technician, automotive mechanic, and tractor-trailer driver. He enjoyed food, loved to sing knowing virtually every song, was a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all his life, and was a devoted Christian who loved to read the Bible and speak to everyone about Jesus and what He had done for him.

Shane is survived by a son, Zachery Shane Dube of Clearwater, FL; brothers: Robert and Thomas Ham; sisters: Lauren Mullen and Shawn Maragni; several nieces and nephews; biological mother: Claire Holland; his ex-wife: Yanile Dube of Bristol; step-children: Yagrelis Rivera, Angel and Jezreel Vazquez; and grandchildren: Jahquil McCray, Cataleya Blue, Tamontrez Collins, and Kameron Vazquez. He was predeceased by a brother: Lee Mark Dube, and his biological father, Thomas Thyer Ham. 

Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 12 Noon at Higher Ground Christian Church, 550 King St., Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
