Scott Albert Osborne, a lifetime resident of Bristol, passed on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Scott was a loyal Lancer, having graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in the 70’s. As a young man, he joined the United States Navy, working as a sonar technician on ballistic missile submarines. He spent 6 years proudly serving his country and traveled the world on vessels such as the USS Alexander Hamilton and the USS James Polk. After his retirement from service, he worked as an electronic technician at the main distribution center for the United States Post Office in Hartford, CT for over 30 years, before settling into retirement. For those who knew Scott, they would recall his light-hearted humor, his encouraging nature, and his dedication to his family. He had great appreciation for the outdoors, learning, and working with his hands. His family fondly remembers his handcrafted fishing lures and his chess partners will be hard pressed to find a more enthusiastic opponent. You could often find Scott cruising around town from park to park in his Jeep with his beloved dog Molly. He had a love of watching sports, making up recipes that sometimes only he was a fan of, and spending time with his grandkids. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years; Linda, his daughter Kelly and her husband Doug, his son AJ and his partner Amanda, his dear grandchildren Travis and Isabel, his sisters Lynn and Holly and her husband Ted, several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends and memories. A Celebration of Scott’s life will take place on Saturday April 24th, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol who has the honor of serving Scott’s family (Mask and social distancing are required).
