Roy E. Bunnell

Roy E. Bunnell, 80, of Bristol, beloved husband of Mary (Musser) Bunnell, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, from Bristol Hospital.
Roy was born in Torrington on August 11, 1940 and was one of five children of the late Floyd and Pearl (Bogrett) Bunnell. He was raised in Torrington and graduated from Goodwin Technical School. He enlisted to serve in the United States Marine Corps and is a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion Seicheprey Post 2. He worked for New Departure before retiring and was a member of Bridge Community Church in Bristol.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by four children: Victoria Laing and husband, Michael of Wittmann, AZ, Michael and David Bunnell of Bristol, and Steven Bunnell and wife, Amie of Sturbridge, MA; three sisters: Beatrice Madison, Joan Tassinari, and Frances Little; six grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother: Lloyd Bunnell.
A memorial graveside service with military honors will be celebrated in the State of Connecticut Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown later when all may gather.
