Rose E.”Bette” Cipollone (DiVirgilio), 94, of Wolcott, loving widow of Frank Cipollone, passed away at her home on Friday (March 9, 2018). Rose was born in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Joseph and Rose (Salvatore) DiVirgilio. Rose spent her career following her passion of raising her children. Later, after they were grown up she began working for Barrister as a computer-wiring technician. Rose was always busy working to help others. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity and volunteered to take patients to their therapy and cancer treatments. She helped fill food baskets and wrap toys for children at the holiday time, rolled bandages to be sent overseas, and visited the sick in convalescent homes. Rose was an avid crafter and loved to make dolls. She was even commissioned to create 3 historic dolls representing those that changed our history in the Lockport NY area. She was a strong, loving woman who always filled our hearts with beauty and was devoted to her spouse, family and God, She will be greatly missed but in our hearts forever. Rose is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Debbie and Ken Barnes of Wolcott; her daughter-in-law Kathy of North Tonawanda, NY; 6 grandsons, Mark, Brian, Joe, Shawn, Pat and Danny and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was pre-deceased by her son David. Funeral services will begin at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 on Wednesday (March 14, 2018) at 9 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti, Wolcott, at 10 AM. The funeral will continue with a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
