Rosaire Joseph Pelletier, 94, of Bristol, widower of Glenna (McCarthy) Pelletier, died on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at home.
Rosaire was born in Fort Kent, ME on April 21, 1927 and was one of ten children of the late Hector and Gertrude (Landry) Pelletier. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in both France and Germany. He had been a Bristol resident since 1950 and worked much of his life in welding and iron work. He co-owned and operated Dubey & Pelletier Welding then went to work at Morin Erection and Frenchie Construction before retiring. Rosaire loved his family deeply and loved spending time outdoors, fishing, and gardening. He was a devout Roman Catholic and member of St. Gregory the Great Church in Bristol.
Rosaire is survived by his six children: Dale Pelletier and wife, Sue Ellen of New Hartford, Stanley Pelletier and wife, Sharon of Westerly, RI, Wayne Pelletier of Rockaway, NJ, Patti Treichel and husband, Thomas of Bristol, Tori Pace and husband, Lawrence of Glastonbury, and Peggy Harris and husband, Michael of Barkhamsted; his brother: Herman Pelletier of Forestville;
12 grandchildren: Melissa Pelletier-Rainey of Terryville, Eric Pelletier of Derry, New Hampshire, Matthew Pelletier of New Hartford, Timothy, Craig, and Kenneth Treichel all of Bristol, Christopher Pace of Norwalk, Stephen Pace of Cambridge, MA, Amber Carlson of Canaan, Bridget Pelletier of Mehoopany, PA, and Emily and Seth Harris of Barkhamsted. His great grandchildren, Makayla of Thomaston, Madison and Allison Rainey of Terryville, Cole Pelletier of Terryville, Jack and Bennett Treichel of Bristol, Sadie Pelletier of Derry, New Hampshire, and twins Caleb and Owen Treichel of Bristol; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by eight siblings: Lucien Pelletier, Lucy McCarthy, Teresa Ouellette, Reynold Pelletier, Jean Martin, Armande Zobbi, Joe “Bruno” Pelletier, and Loretta Cahill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol.

Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday, May 14, 2021 between 6 and 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol, CT 06010, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
