Ronald D. Simons

Ronald D. Simons, 68, of Bantam, died on Monday (February 13, 2017) at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Ron was born on May 21, 1948 in Winsted and was the son of the late William and Mary (Padula) Simons. He was raised and lived most of his life in Winsted where he worked as a house painter and also a cook at Billy Ray’s. He more recently lived in Torrington before moving to Bantam around 2010. He loved to cook and enjoyed fishing. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley LeFebvre and her husband, Andre. Ron leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends from Winsted. Funeral services are private and he will be buried privately in the spring with his parents in Forest View Cemetery in Winsted. Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, is assisting the family.
