Ronald Carson, 79, of Bristol, beloved husband of Marlene (Koloski) Carson, died on Thursday (March 9, 2023) at Bristol Hospital.  Ron was born on July 5, 1943 in Bristol and was the only child of the late Vernon and Lillian (Beaulieu) Carson.  
Ron was raised and lived in Bristol for most of his life. He and Marlene also lived in Holland, MA briefly. He was a graduate of Bristol Eastern High School and served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Whitnon Spindle, Farmington, Grosite Spindle, Farmington, and retired as sales manager from United States Machine Tools, Bristol, in 2007. He enjoyed working in the yard and woodworking especially crafting furniture pieces. He was an active volunteer at the Bristol Senior Center where he enjoyed playing cornhole and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Bristol. 
Ron’s survivors include his wife of 58 years; daughter: Marci Ouellette; grandchildren: Carissa, Lindsay, and Sam Ouellette, Alec and Cole Verano; nephews: Anthony and John Truiolo; and special friends: Joe Lagasse, Margy Moshka, John Pompei, Tammy Dennis, Carol and Pedro Carrasco. 
 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at on Thursday (March 16, 2023) at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol.   Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Wednesday between 5 and 7 PM.
