Robert Sandino, Sr., 60, of Bristol, died unexpectedly on Good Friday (April 2, 2021) at Bristol Hospital. Bob was born on December 12, 1960 in Bristol and was a son of Gladys (Greenleaf) Chandler of Burlington and the late Bernard Sandino. He was a longtime Bristol resident and attended Bristol Central High School. Known as the “Tile Guy”, he worked in the tile trade for Tavera Tile and out on his own for many years. He recently worked as an Amazon delivery driver. He enjoyed tending to his handy-man projects, working-out, and spending time outdoors biking and kayaking. Most important to him was his family. In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by two children, Bobby Sandino, Jr. and Ashley Sandino of Bristol; their mother, Pamela Sandino of Bristol; his two grandchildren Scarlett and Blair; eight siblings: Bernadette Johannessen, Nicholas Sandino, Jeanette Allen, Gladys Kasputis, Joseph Sandino, Betsy Sandino, Lillian Fanella, and Jim Sandino; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends including: Don and Jamie Pelletier, Mina Miller, Ed Lagace and the Tavera family.
