Rita Z. Taillon

Rita Z. (Zang) Taillon, 91, of Bristol, beloved wife of Raymond P. Taillon, died on Tuesday (April 13, 2021) at Ingraham Manor.  
Rita was born in Bristol on December 7, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Bachman) Zang.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from Bristol High School and Secretarial School. She worked in the Bristol City Clerk’s office for several years retiring as Assistant Town Clerk in 1992. She enjoyed sewing and her many trips to Bermuda with Ray and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, Bristol.
In addition to her husband, with whom she would have celebrated 70 years on marriage on April 30th, Rita is survived by two daughters: Marilyn Taillon and husband, Robert Jaeger of Geneva, IL, and Kathryn Taillon and husband, Arthur Field of St. Augustine, FL; a sister: Grace Cwiek and husband, Victor of Bristol; a granddaughter: Allison Field and husband, Nathan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Frances, Joseph, Edward, and Kenneth Zang. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
