Rita (Gagnon) Rodrigue, 96 of Bristol, loving widow of Gerard Rodrigue, passed away at Ingraham Manor on Monday (June 11, 2018). Rita was born in Canada on April 30, 1922 to the late George and Clara (Gilbert) Gagnon. Rita moved to Bristol in 1955 where she raised her family whom she loves so dearly. Rita enjoyed her time as a member of the Ladies of St. Ann Society and the Army of Mary. Rita is survived by her two sons: Donald and his wife Linda Rodrigue of Bristol, Dennis and his wife Kathleen Rodrigue of Terryville; three daughters: Terry and her husband Jim Zagryn of Harwinton, Louise Johnson of Terryville, Suzanne Rodrigue and her fiancé Earl Thibeault of Sebastian, FL; four brothers: Reginald Gagnon of St. Ludger, QC, Andre Gagnon of Norton, VT, Gregoire Gagnon of St. Ludger, QC, Jacques Gagnon, Quebec City, QC; four sisters: Mary Paul Roy of St. Ludger, QC, Georgette Faucher of Bristol, Regine Roy of St. Gedeon, QC, Nicole Begin of Montreal, QC; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Rita was pre-deceased by two brothers: Gilbert Gagnon and Emanuel Gagnon; and three sisters: Gilberte Rodrigue, Yvette Fillion, and Therese LaChance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (June 16, 2018) at 10 AM at St. Ann Church, Bristol. Burial will follow with a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
