Richard R. Dube, 73, of Bristol, beloved husband of Nicole (Ouellette) Dube died on Tuesday (October 15, 2019) at home.
Richard was born in Eagle Lake, ME on May 5, 1946 and was one of eight children of the late Leonard and Azilda (Smart) Dube. He was raised in Eagle Lake before moving to Bristol where he has lived most of his life and worked for Rowley Spring for 48 years before retiring. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed all sports. He used to bowl and play softball and was an avid golfer and member of Pequabuck Golf Club. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew Church in Forestville.
In addition to his wife, Nicole, with whom he would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on October 23, Richard is survived by two children: Julie and Ricky Dube of Bristol; four brothers: Paul, Norman, Edmond, and Fernand Dube; a grandson: Michael Arseneault, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Shawn Dube in 2016; brothers: Leonard and Danny Dube, and his sister: Pauline Saucier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (October 22, 2019) at 11 AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Bristol on Monday between 4 and 7 PM.
