Raymond R. Rasmus

Raymond Robert Rasmus, 85, of Bristol, beloved husband for 62 years of Betty (Leide) Rasmus, passed away on Saturday (June 3, 2023) from a 3 ½ year battle with cancer and dementia. 
Ray was born on June 12, 1937 in Nanticoke, PA and was the third youngest of 12 children of the late Anthony and Catherine Rasmus.
He served his country proudly in the Marines during the Korean War.
He worked in the computer field and enjoyed collecting stamps, fishing, playing golf, scuba diving, playing cards, playing pool at the Senior Center, bowling, and traveling.
In addition to his wife, Ray leaves behind two incredible grandchildren: Evan Loycano of Miami, FL, and Waverly Loycano of Colleyville, TX; son-in-law: Robert (Kristy) Loycano of Colleyville, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He will be reunited with his precious daughter: Kimberly Loycano; infant grandson: Blaine; and his 11 siblings.
Funeral services will be private. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, CT is honored to serve the Rasmus family.
