It is with deepest sorrow we announce Phillip James Paradise, 40 unexpectedly passed away on February 4th, 2021. A beloved son, brother, father, grandchild, nephew, cousin and friend. He was born to Lisa (Skaradosky) Paradise of Plymouth, CT and Richard Paradise of Middletown, CT. Phillip graduated Terryville High School, attended Tunxis Community College and Naugatuck Valley Community College; mastering studies in Environmental Science at the age of 16. A great ambition of his was to help save the environment. At 10 years old he wrote a poem that was published in a science magazine. He attained many Achievement Awards, President Award and assisted with implementing the School To Career Business Partners Program in many high schools now with the Mayor at the time as a spokesperson. Phillip had many passions; playing his guitar, singing, writing poems and songs. Fishing, biking, working on cars, working on farms with horses and nurseries. Everyone loved Phil. He was kind, a heart of gold and a smile that lit up the room. Phillip will be missed everyday by his son Cayden Paradise; whom he loved very much, his mother Lisa, father Richard, sister Nicole, half-sister Melody, Maternal grandparents Carol and John Skaradosky, Uncle David Skaradosky and wife Susan. His many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Bernard and Lorraine Paradise, his niece Zoey. His son Cayden loved going to the beach and bowling with his dad who always made him feel loved with his hugs. Phillip your radiant smile will always shine down on us through the days of the sun shining. Your physical body may be gone from this world but your soul is still very much alive and will always be, Love Mom XO. Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 12 PM on Thursday February 11th with a funeral home service to follow at 12 PM in Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT who is honored to serve the family. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations towards a trust fund for his son Cayden James Paradise.
