Patricia (Madore) Fradette, 97, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Sunday (October 20, 2019) in Windham, NH.  Patricia was born in Van Buren, ME on August 8, 1922 and was one of 14 children of the late Abel and Mattie (Lajoie) Madore.  Patricia was a lifelong Bristol resident before moving to Windham, NH.  She moved to Bristol from Van Buren, ME in her late teens and worked several years before meeting and marrying her late husband, Russell “Rusty” Fradette on November 16, 1946. They settled in Bristol and raised their six children. In addition to being a devoted and loving wife and mother, Patricia worked as a school crossing guard and worked many years for the former Greater Bristol Visiting Nurse Association.  She was a woman of great faith and was an active parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Forestville, where she was a member of the Guild of the Blessed Sacrament. In her later years, she was an active member of the Bristol Senior Center.
Patricia loved spending time with her family. Nothing made her happier than seeing her children and grandchildren. As an amazing cook and baker, she was always in the kitchen preparing her delicious recipes welcoming in family and friends to share in her culinary delights. She loved the outdoors and gardening. Nothing made her happier than enjoying the warm sunshine no matter what the season. She enjoyed taking walks, pool aerobics, yoga and lunch with friends.
In her last six years, living in Windham, NH at Warde Health Center, Patricia was able to spend and enjoy abundant time with local family. Within the Warde Health community, she was an active resident who participated in all the daily and spiritual activities. She made many new friends and was a treasured resident. Patricia received outstanding care at Warde Health Center. In her time there, she flourished around caregivers that were filled with love, compassion and spiritually. She also benefited greatly from the outstanding services of Rockingham VNA and Hospice her last 15 months. Their hospice services were amazing in all aspects of care and kept Patricia living very comfortably until the time of her passing.

Patricia is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patricia Fradette of Beverly Hills, FL, William and Peggy Fradette of Narragansett, RI, Brian and Posey Fradette of Bedford, NH, and Bruce and Laura Fradette of Tijeras, NM; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Peter Armstrong of Arvada, CO, and Elizabeth and Michael Cunningham of Tewksbury, MA; two sisters: Florence Octagon of South Carolina, and Marie Hayden of Delaware; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by eleven of her brothers and sisters.
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (October 29, 2019) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Monday between 5 and 8 PM.  Memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Mercy at Warde Health Center, 21 Searles Rd., Windham, NH, 03087, or to Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833.  Please visit Patricia’s memorial web-site at www.FunkFuneralHome.com
