Nicole Rose Hammell

Nicole Rose Hammell, 20, of Bristol passed away peacefully on (Sunday) November 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Nicole was born in Hartford on May 15, 2001 to JoAnn (Rodin) and Robert Hammell.

Nicole was a kindhearted and loving person with a warmth that was felt by all who met her. She loved playing sports including basketball, bowling, track and field, and was part of the Challengers and Unified League. Nicole also enjoyed drawing, watching TV, and spending time at Cedar Lake with her family.

In addition to her parents, Nicole is survived by her grandfather Robert Rodin of West Simsbury; her uncles Charles P. Hammell of Bristol, and Paul C. Hammell, Jr. and significant other Megan Reddinger of Bristol; her aunts Mary Lee Kolanko and spouse Laurence of Lumberton, NJ, Alison Farnelli and spouse Timothy of Mount Pocono, PA, and Barbara Rodin of West Simsbury; her cousins Alissa Dumont and spouse David, Kimberly Kolanko, Katelyn Hammell, Audrey Hammell, Larissa Trainham and spouse John Martin, Joshua Rodin, and Alicia Trainham; her godmother Roseanne Humphreys; as well as many friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Paul C. Hammell, Sr., Deleah (Pryor) Hammell, and Janice (Warner) Rodin; and her cousin Melissa Farnelli.

A celebration of life will be held from 5-7pm on (Friday) November 12, 2021 at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, which has the honor of serving Nicole’s family. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on (Saturday) November 13, 2021 at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol.
