Nereida Miranda

Neredia Miranda, 84, passed away peacefully at Village Green of Bristol on January 20th 2021. She was born on May 20, 1936 in Puerto Rico to the late Gregory and Moncha (Rivera) Miranda. A few years after graduating from high school in Puerto Rico, she came to the United States. Nereida enjoyed to cook for her family and play bingo with her friends. She is survived by her loving son Luis Miranda of Bristol, two granddaughters Angela (Mark, Sr.) Miranda-Curylo of Burlington, CT, Jenny Miranda of Brooklyn, NY and three great grandchildren Tyessa, Mark Jr. and Saul. She is also survived by two brothers and eight sisters, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson, Derrick Greene. A walk-through visitation will be held, on Tuesday January 26th from 10 to 11:30am at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Her funeral home service will immediately follow at 11:30am.
