Mary Brody LeMere

Mary Brody LeMere, 97, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday (November 12, 2023).
Mary was born in Waterbury on May 28, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Anne H. (Gregerick) Brody.
She was raised in Unionville and graduated from Farmington High School. She married and moved to Bristol where she raised three children. Mary spent her entire life taking care of the needs of others. One of her most rewarding experiences was the 14 years she was a Personal Care Attendant to her young friend, Jim Quick.
Mary is survived by her three children: Robert C. LeMere, Joanne Mahannah (her best friend and caretaker), and Mary-Ellen LeMere; five grandchildren: Bob LeMere, Doug Mahannah, Azura Meadows, Jake and Jared Steele; seven great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Noah, Kayleigh, Daphne, Collette, Warren, and Jaxson; sister-in-law: Jackie Brody of Deltona, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother: Jim Brody; a grandson: Joey LeMere; and a very special friend: Howard Corey of Vermont, formerly of Bristol.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (November 17, 2023) at 10 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Salvation Army, 19 Stearns St., Bristol, CT 06010. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, CT is honored to serve the family.
