Mark Alan Nielsen, Jr., 47, of Bloomfield, CT died unexpectedly on Wednesday (May 25, 2022) at home.
Mark was born on December 21, 1974 in Bridgeport, CT and spent his early years in Milford, CT attending Lenox Avenue elementary school, Pack 17 Cub and Troup 71 Boy Scouts. He moved with his family to Bristol, CT where he would complete his primary school education. He was a graduate of Bristol Central High School Class of 1993 where he ran cross-country and track and field. He attended Central Connecticut State University studying Computer Sciences before going to work in the IT field at Advo, Inc. advertising later aquired by Valassis and then the insurance industry including time at Mass Mutual / Empower Retirement.
He and his girlfriend were huge professional wrestling fans traveling extensively to help run events with their best friends.
Mark is survived by his mother: Judy Nielsen of Bristol, CT; his father: Mark A. Nielsen, Sr. of California, MD; his brother: Bill Nielsen of Bristol, CT; and his girlfriend and future fiancé: Alison Johnson and her son, Alexander, of Tolland, CT; his mother's fiancé, Skip Burritt of Bristol, CT and his father's fiancé, Marcia Galindo of California, MD. and several aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of the family.
