Louis E. Morin, 81, of Farmington, widower of Jeannine (Blanchette) Morin, died on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Bristol Hospital.
Louis was born on June 4, 1939 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada and was a son of the late Ludger and Lorette (Cote) Morin. He was raised in Grand Falls before moving to Bristol for most of his life. He worked in construction as a member of the carpenter’s union until retiring. After retirement, he lived in Canada and Florida until recently returning to the area. Louis was known to be always working whether it was framing houses or cutting trees and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Louis is survived by his 101-year old step-mother: Jeanne Morin; two sons, Ivan and Steve Morin of Bristol; 13 siblings: Roland, Charlene, Joe, Arlene, Pierre, Clifford, Verna, Gaetan, Johanne, Gilman, Alfred, Onil, and Dina; two grandchildren: Brent Landeen and Aniyah Christopher; a great-grandchild: Jayden Landeen; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Woodson, and a brother, Reno Morin.
