Lois B. Dunlap

Lois B. (Benson) Dunlap, 88, of Bristol, widow of Robert F. Dunlap and Charles Moon, passed away Friday (May 12, 2023) at Ingraham Manor with family by her side. Lois was born in Woodbury on January 5, 1935 and was the oldest of six children of the late Herbert and Elizabeth (Booth) Benson.
She was raised in Woodbury where she graduated from high school. She lived her married years in Wolcott and also lived in Port Charlotte, FL with Charles, and in Waterbury. She was a former active member of the Wolcott Congregational Church where she served as a Deacon. Retired from The Travelers Insurance Company, her interests included arts and crafts, reading, cooking, and gardening in the yard.

Lois is survived by two sons: George Dunlap and wife, Pamela of Terryville, and Robert J. Dunlap and wife, Karen of Bristol; a step-daughter: Cindy DiLorenzo and husband, Mark of Granby; siblings: Jean Clarke and husband, the late James Clarke of Monroe, John Benson of Woodbury, and Sylvia Socci and husband, Anthony of Milford; four grandchildren: Robert Dunlap and wife, Alicia of Bristol, Christopher Dunlap and wife, Fiona of California, Melissa Dunlap of Terryville, and Jessica Dunlap of Bristol; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Charles Klein; sister-in-law: Sylvia Benson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased a sister: Brenda Klein and a brother: Myron Benson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (May 18, 2023) at 11 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
