Leonard "Lenny" Northrop, age 76, of Bristol, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly in his home on July 18, 2021. He was born to Leonard LaChance and Arlene Northrop in West Hartford, Connecticut on September 29, 1944.
Leonard graduated high school in New Milford in 1962. From there he served his country for 4 years as a Fireman in the Navy. After his honorable service, Leonard was employed with Barnes Group Inc. until he retired in 2002.
He married Edna Northrop in 1976 and they lived together in Bristol, Connecticut for 33 years before separating. Together they raised two children: Donna Kurzweil, and Amanda Northrop. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Bethany Michele, Brandi and Rebecca Corsi, Soran Prentiss, Phoenix Northrop, and Kairi and Troy Livingston. As well as 3 great-grandchildren.
Lenny was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He had a passion for music and action movies. When he wasn't home working with his computer, and recording devices, he would be spending time with his loved ones or playing softball with his many friends. Lenny touched the hearts of many people, he will be missed terribly.

A Celebration of Leonard’s Life will take place on Thursday, July 22 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, who has the honor of serving Leonard’s family.
