Julius J Valente Jr

Julius J. Valente Jr., 78, widower of Frances K. (Campo) Valente, passed away on Monday (September 4, 2017) in his home in Bristol. Mr. Valente was born July 20, 1939 in Bronx, NY to the late Julius and Adeline (Cocomello) Valente. After graduating from Evander Childs High School in 1957 Julius enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves where he served honorably. After his military service Julius began his career as a commercial lender for Talcott, Shawmut and Colonial Bank and Trust. He also ran United Financial Resources, his own financial consulting firm until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Valente is survived by his son: Gregory Valente and his wife Mary Valente of Waterbury; daughter: Gina Deschaine; and grandchildren: Gabriel Deschaine, Carissa Deschaine, Katerina Valente, and Alex Valente. Funeral services for Julius will be held on Saturday (September 9, 2017) at 10:30 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow with a procession to The Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
