Judith A. (Beaupre) Kokiel, 80, of Bristol, beloved wife of Michel Kokiel, passed away peacefully on Sunday (April 18, 2021) at home. Judith was born in Bristol on December 6, 1940 and was one of seven children of the late Joseph and Mabel (Lavigne) Beaupre.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from Bristol High School. She worked at Hildreth Press where she would meet her husband. While raising her family, she worked for Data Mail until retiring. She enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, baking her Christmas Cookies and pierogis. She was a UCONN women’s basketball fan as well as a New York Yankees fan.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, Judith is survived by six children: Chester Kokiel and wife, Martha of West Hartford, Jeffrey Kokiel and wife, Wendy of Bradenton, FL, Michael Kokiel and wife, Kimberly of Sabattus, ME, James Kokiel and wife, Tamara of Bristol, Dawn Kokiel of Unity, NH, and Tamsyn Kokiel of Bristol; a sister: Simone Raia of Massachusetts; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings: Joseph, Richard, and Cathy Beaupre, Jeannette Marenna, and Lois Hogue.
The family would like to thank Hartford Healthcare at Home for without their assistance Tamsyn and Judy’s granddaughter Jessica would not have been able to keep her home surrounded by her animals and loved ones.
