Jennie (Santopietro) Polletta, 104, of Wolcott, widow of Vito Polletta, died on Saturday (October 3, 2020) at Wolcott View Manor. Jennie was born in Waterbury on August 21, 1916 and was one of four children of the late Frank and Lena (Jacaruso) Santopietro.
A lifelong Waterbury resident, she graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and worked at Timex. She and Vito enjoyed dancing and watching sports on television. She was a member of All Saints Parish formerly attending St. Lucy and Sacred Heart Churches.
Jennie is survived by nieces and nephews: Dr. Joseph and Beverly Palladino, Richard and Mimi Palladino, Sandra Palladino, Domenic Polletta, Sal Polletta, and Donna Teta; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Henry and Anna Santopietro, and Helen Palladino, and a nephew: Ronald Palladino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (October 10, 2020) at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St., Waterbury. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Saturday between 8 and 9:15 AM.
