Jeanne M. Johndro

Jeanne M. (Dubey) Johndro, 91, of Bristol, widow of Maurice Johndro, died on Monday (February 22, 2021) at The Pines at Bristol.  Jeanne was born on April 23, 1929 in St. Francis, ME and was a daughter of the late Albenie and Madora (Thibodeau) Dubey.
She grew up in Maine before moving to Hartford where she started her family before eventually settling in Bristol.  She worked for Travelers Insurance in the claims division.  In retirement, she and Maurice enjoyed travel and winters in Kissimmee, FL.  A devout Catholic, she was an active parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, Bristol, where she participated in making rosary beads that would be sent around the world.  
Most important to Jeanne was family, she is survived by her four children: Sharon Dube of New Britain, Kathy Mendes of Terryville, Denise and Thomas Rokosa of Bristol, and Steven and Soledad Johndro of Marlborough, MA; a sister: Muriel B. Gardner of Watertown, MA and her sons: Sean and Brian Gardner; eight grandchildren: Amy and Stacey Dube, Kyle and Brian Mendes, Philip, Jared, and Britney Rokosa, and Samantha Johndro; four great-grandchildren: Adalyn Dube, Cody and Drew Boehm, and Mia Sophia Mendes; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers: Norbert, Fernand, and Albenie Dubey. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (February 26, 2021) at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West St.., Bristol.
