Jane N. (Gravel) Pomerleau, 78, of Bristol, widow of Robert C. Pomerleau, died on Thursday (November 4, 2021) at home
Jane was born in Waterbury on December 31, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Real and Mary Rose (Deshaies) Gravel. She was raised in Waterbury where she graduated from Wilby High School. She formerly lived in Terryville before moving to Bristol to raise her family in 1976. She worked for New Departure Division of General Motors until retiring and also did hairdressing. A good artist, she enjoyed drawing, crocheting, entertaining friends, and playing cards. She enjoyed a good cup of tea. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish attending St. Ann Church in Bristol.
Jane is survived by three daughters: Nora White and husband, Brian of South Windsor, Suzanne Ouellette of Bristol, and Sheree Grigerek and husband, Tim of Middletown; seven siblings: Lucille Zarillo of Waterbury, Roger Gravel of Terryville, Ray Gravel of Morris, Aline (Joe) Bush of Plantsville, Dennis Gravel of Southington, Vance Gravel of Waterbury, and Denise (Kurt) Karpavich of Watertown; seven grandchildren: Devon and Cody Carrillo, Alex and Jolee Grigerek, Weston White, Katelynn and Jake Ouellette; three great-grandchildren: Gracelynn Ouellette, Maddison Flanagan, and Brackston due this month; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a her son: Robbie Pomerleau; and four siblings: Alice O’May, Doris Davis, Nelson Gravel, and Nancy Gravel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (November 11, 2021) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Wednesday between 5 and 8 PM.
