James P. Trunk

James Patrick Trunk, affectionately known as “Jim” or “Poppop”, born to James Aloysius Trunk and Mary “Patsy” Sheridan in Manhattan, New York passed peacefully in his home in Bristol, CT on Thursday, October 28th. Jim was born on November 15th, 1943 and attended school in Manhattan where he met the love of his life and wife, Mary (McKenna) Trunk in elementary school and married young. Jim will be met at the gates of heaven by his son, John. In addition to his wife Mary, Jim is also survived by his brother, 2 living sons, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, an Uncle, many Nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 3rd, from 4 to 7PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol who has the honor of serving Jim’s family. Friends are invited to go directly to the Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel in the Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532 on Thursday morning, November 4th at 11 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following on the cemetery grounds where most of his family is also interred.
