James E. “Bugsy” Moran, 56, of Bristol, beloved husband of Amy (Lee) Moran, died on Thursday (November 8, 2018) at Bristol Hospital. Jim was born in Derby on July 22, 1962 and was one of five children of Mary (Yish) Moran of Naugatuck and the late Henry Moran.
He was raised in Seymour and was a graduate of Seymour High School. A Bristol resident since 1992, he was a carpenter before retiring. A man with a wicked sense of humor, he was known to tell the best stories and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins.
Family was everything to Jim and he is survived by his wife, mother, a daughter, Laura Lee Moran, a brother, Henry Moran of Naugatuck, three sisters, Bernadette Beamer of Montrose, PA, Ruthanne Gavitt of Cheshire, and Cyndi Bashura of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant daughter, Tanya Lee Moran.
Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday (November 16, 2018) between 6 and 8 PM followed by a memorial service commencing at 8 PM.
