Jaime L Bezares

December 8, 1949 ~ January 24, 2018 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Jaime L. ‘007’ Bezares, 68, loving husband of Carmen (Maldonado) for 32 years, passed away at Bristol Hospital on Wednesday (January 24, 2018). Jaime was born in Puerto Rico on December 8, 1949. Jaime spent his career working as a taxi driver, owning his own transportation business as well as working for the Salvation Army for a time. God, family and community were all very important to Jaime and he continued to volunteer at the Salvation Army whenever he could so that he could help everyone he could. Jaime was always very caring towards others but that did not mean he would not take the first opportunity to play a friendly joke or use his quick wits to make the room laugh hysterically. Most of all he loved his family, spending time with them and rocking out to his Oldies. In addition to his wife, Jaime is survived by his three daughters: Jaimena Bezares, Yolanda and her husband Pedro Echevarria, Linnette Cruz; brothers: Edward Delpezzo, Curtis and his wife Mitsy Delpezzo; sisters: Nadine Delpezzo, Rosie Delpezzo; nine grandchildren: Jocelyn, Evalise, Samyra, Edwin, Kayla, Isaiah, Jeremy, Nathaniel, Gabriel; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jaime is pre-deceased by his parents: Carmine and Juana (Gallart) Delpezzo; and son: Jaime ‘Mito’ Bezares, Jr. Memorial services for Jaime will be celebrated at the Salvation Army, 19 Stearns St., Bristol, CT 06010 on Monday (January 29, 2018) at 4 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funk Funeral Home 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 is assisting the family.
