Hrisi Diakolambrianos

Hrisi (Protou) Diakolambrianos, 70, of Burlington, beloved wife of Lambros “Larry” Diakolambrianos, passed away on Sunday (September 18, 2022).
Hrisi was born on May 12, 1952 in Rhodes, Greece and relocated to the United States in 1973 together with her family.  
Hrisi worked at Superior Electric in Bristol until 2001 then United Technologies Corporation until retirement where she was well regarded as an excellent worker and supportive colleague. Hrisi was also a devoted member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Bristol where she was part of the Sunday Choir group and enjoyed baking for the yearly Greek Festival.  Hrisi loved spending time in her garden and cooking for her family.  
In addition to her husband of 49 years, Hrisi is survived by her son: George Diakolambrianos of Bristol; her two grandchildren: Maximos and Livia Diakolambrianos: two sisters: Joanna Boniatis and husband, Emmanuil and Christine Giordamnis and husband, Iordani, all of Bristol; brother: Aleko Protou and wife, Maria of Rhodes, Greece; sister-in-law: Eleni Mahlis and husband, Antonios of Bristol; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.  She was predeceased by her loving son, Lukas Diakolambrianos
Funeral services will be held on Friday (September 23, 2022) at 11 AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 31 Brightwood Rd., Bristol. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday between 10 and 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 31 Brightwood Rd., Bristol, CT 06010.
