Him Heap

Him Heap, 51, of Bristol, beloved husband of Sareyvatana Meas, passed away on Wednesday (August 5, 2020). Him was born in Cambodia on April 4, 1969 and was a son of his maternal mother, Kev Hey and his late maternal father, Vag Chk. Him is a member of the Cambodian Buddhist Society of Connecticut, Bristol. He enjoyed playing poker with friends, singing karaoke, traveling with friends and family and, most of all, spending time with his beloved wife and children. Him loved life and was always laughing. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife and maternal mother, Him is survived by his adoptive parents: William O’Connell of Bethlehem and Maureen O’Connell of Pawcatuck; his son: Branden Heap of Watertown; his three daughters: Samantha Heap of Philadelphia, Monica Heap of Bristol, Alyssa Heap of Bristol; his brother: Erin O’Connell of Watertown; his sisters: Kev Hoen of Cambodia, Meghan O’Connell Parrinello and Brianne O’Connell Durst, both of Cheshire, Bebhinn O’Connell Bell of Massachusetts; and one grandchild. A service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol at 7 AM. Friends and family are invited to call at Funk Funeral Home from 8 AM to 9 AM. A procession will follow to Brookside Crematory, 453 Christian Lane, Berlin.
