Heidi A. (Dube) Caron, 54, loving wife of John Caron, died on Saturday (February 29, 2020) after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bristol on December 3, 1965 and was the daughter of Sandra (Himchak) Dube and the late Leonard Dube. Heidi graduated from St. Paul High School, class of 1983 and was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church, Bristol. She went to achieve her Bachelors of Science in nursing at the University of St. Joseph and followed with her Masters of Science at the University of Hartford. She became a supervising nurse consultant at the CT Department of Public Health and was a professor of nursing at Lincoln Tech. She was very involved with her community. She did a lot of volunteer and humanity work with her town of Plymouth and was a vice chairman for the Housing Authority at Gosinski Park. She also did charitable events for the food pantry, the small wonders program and fundraising for St. Joseph School, Bristol. She also was a member of Chippanee Country Club. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Heidi is survived by her beloved son: Zachary Caron of Terryville; her brother: Jeff Dube and his wife Pam of Burlington; her sister: Holly Stickels and her husband Thomas of Bristol; her niece and nephew: Alexa and Adam Caron; three special cousins: Scott Wolak and his wife Kathy of Oxford, Kimberly Coppola and her husband David of Southington, Angela Greemore of Bristol; and her biological father: Ronald Pelletier. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen Street, Bristol. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 between the hours of 4 PM and 8 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol. Those attending Heidi’s services are asked to please wear her favorite color, pink or sparkles. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Heidi’s name to the Small Wonders Program, Town of Plymouth, 80 Main Street, Terryville, CT 06786.
