Grace L. (Hammons) Thomas, 96, of Plantsville, died on Wednesday (June 23, 2021) at Livewell in Plantsville. Grace was born on August 21, 1924 in Belfast, ME and was a daughter of the late Earl “Pete” Hammons and Marjorie (Patterson) Hammons and sister of Olive Fleming, and Robert and Donald Hammons. Raised in Maine, she was a longtime resident of Fairview Ave., Bristol before her recent move to Livewell. She worked for H.J. Mills Box Co. and Plymouth Spring until her retirement. She enjoyed working around her house, cooking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Helen Thomas of Wolcott; three grandchildren: Kim Blazek and husband, Tony, Karen Zbierski and husband, Eric, and Brian Thomas; seven great-grandchildren: Samantha, Kylie, Katelyn, Ryan, Avery, Lauren, and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, CT is honored to serve the family.
