Gilman Pelletier, 88, of Tolland, husband of the late Gilmay (Voisine) Pelletier, died peacefully on Sunday (January 10, 2021) at Woodlake Nursing Home.  Gilman was born August 25, 1932 in Fort Kent, Maine. He was the son of late Rene and Mabel (Cyr) Pelletier. Gilman was a former parishioner of St Dominic Church in Southington.  He was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus member.  He loved his wife and family very much. His life was filled with the love of music, dancing and friends. He farmed his land till 1968 when he then moved to Connecticut where he spent the rest of his career in the construction field. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Pelletier and wife Cathy of Storrs; Dale Pelletier and wife Christine of Berlin; four daughters and sons-in-law, (late) Janice Charette and husband Ricky of Terryville; Susan Daigle and husband David of Chicopee, MA; Debra Pelletier and husband Donald of Hermon, ME; Bonita Busse and husband Charlie of Willington; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; his sisters Beatrice Bernier and Anita Mumford and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Pelletier and sisters Edwina Paradis and Reona Dubois. Due to Covid, the family will privately celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
