Francine A. Coffey, of Greenland, NH and Bristol, CT, widow Jean-Gabriel Jouanny, died on Sunday (August 4, 2019) in Dover, NH.  
Francine was born in Washington, DC and was a daughter of the late Francis and Ada May (Newton) Coffey.  
She was raised in Bristol and graduated from Bristol Eastern High School. She attended and received a Bachelor’s in Science degree from the University of St. Joseph where she was a member of the Golden Dome Society. She then went on to earn a Master’s in Science degree from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Stanford Business School where she would meet her future husband, Jean-Gabriel Jouanny. They spent many happy years together residing in San Francisco and Paris, France before his death in 1994. Francine worked for a research lab in Boston, a bank in San Francisco, and the Ford Motor Co. in Paris. Her interests included art, theater, literature, and competitive ballroom dancing, winning several awards. She traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. She loved animals and cared for several cats and dogs throughout her life. Francine is survived by her niece, Emily Turkosz and husband, Daniel; brother-in-law: Thomas Stumbris; special cousin, Anne Duquette Ancher, life-long friend, Carolyn Thiery; and many cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Stumbris, half-brother, Robert Wellen, and a beloved aunt, Annamae Coffey Duquette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (August 17, 2019) at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Saturday between 9 AM and 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation, 366 Main St., Terryville, CT 06786, or to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 2110, New York, NY 10122.  Please visit Francine’s memorial web-site at www.FunkFuneralHome.com.
