Douglas Allan Huddleston

Douglas Allan Huddleston, 71, of Hartford, husband of Patricia (Michaud) Huddleston, passed away at his home, with his wife by his side, on Tuesday (December 19, 2017). Douglas was born in West Virginia on August 5, 1946 to the late Gordon Arch and Margaret Frances (McCormack) Huddleston.

Douglas honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, from 1965 to 1969, in Japan during the Vietnam Era. Douglas enjoyed spending his time fishing, helping his neighbors, gardening and talking to his best friend, Bruce. He was a lover of animals and rescued neighborhood cats.

In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Steven and Lorene Huddleston of North Carolina; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Douglas will be celebrated at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 on Thursday (December 28, 2017) at 10 AM. Burial will follow with a procession to Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Funk Funeral Home on Wednesday (December 27, 2017) between the hours of 5PM and 8PM.
