Douglas Barnett

Douglas P. Barnett, 57, of Bristol, husband of Rebecca (Milke) Barnett, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at home. Doug was born on August 28, 1966 in Bristol and was a son of Robert T. Barnett, Sr. of Bristol and the late Joyce (Carlson) Barnett. Doug was a 1984 graduate of St. Paul Catholic of Bristol and worked for the Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford at the former St. Thomas Church in Southington. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Parish, Bristol. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his daughter Macie Barnett of California; son Matthew Barnett of Bristol; sister Marcy Barnett of California; brother Michael Barnett of Bristol; nephew Jay Barnett of Bristol. In addition to his mother, his brother Robert, Jr. predeceased him. 

The Celebration of Life gathering will be on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 3 to 5 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol who has the honor of serving Doug’s family. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Gregory the Great Parish, 235 Maltby Lane, Bristol on Saturday morning, November 25, 2023 at 10 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bristol.
