Dorothy "Dottie" Cyr

Dorothy (Plourde) "Dottie" Cyr, 78, of Bristol, widow of Raymond J. Cyr died on Sunday (February 14, 2021) at home. Dottie was born on January 2, 1943 in St. Agatha, ME and was one of ten children of the late Joseph and Irene (Chasse) Plourde.
A longtime Bristol resident, she worked for Prospect Products in Newington until retiring. She loved to work in the yard and plant flowers and was a parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Bristol.
Dottie is survived by two children: Gail Cyr of Plainville and Shane Cyr of Bristol; two brothers: Joel and Roland Plourde of Bristol; three sisters: Bernadette Saucier of Bristol, Pauline Carrier of Florida, and Theresa Levasseur of Berlin; two grandchildren: Amber and Jake Cyr; two great-grandchildren: Alexia and Aiden; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (February 20, 2021) at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
