Doris C. Nunziante

Doris (Fabiani) Nunziante, 79, of Bristol, beloved wife of Vincenzo Nunziante, passed away on Saturday (July 3, 2021) surrounded by her loving family at home. Doris was born in Bristol on March 22, 1942 and was the oldest of three daughters of the late Mario and Giselda (Giacomini) Fabiani.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from Bristol High School. She worked for Traveler’s and in the St. Paul Catholic High School Cafeteria. Doris was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, socializing with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved dancing to 80’s music and playing dominoes. A spiritual woman, she will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ferdinando and Carla Nunziante of Plantsville; two sisters: Maryanne Tillbrook of Durham, and Marsha Wetherbee of Farmington; two beloved grandchildren: Vincenzo and Gabriella; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (July 8, 2021) at 10 AM at Saint Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, is honored to serve the family.
