He leaves his grand nephews and nieces, Cody and Jason Bayne, Jimmy Bayne, Shannan Bayne, Jeremy Bayne and Amber Higgins. He leaves his long-time friend, Richard Blaisdell and his wife Barbara. Richard was like his brother having a friendship that expanded over 63 years. Barbara and Dick were always there to give family support. Richard’s daughters Pamala Blaisdell and her son Frankie, Kim Granger with her husband Michael and Roberta Cote with her late husband Bryan Cote were a close part of his life. He also leaves his other hunting buddy, Bob Sekorski and his wife Joanne along with close friends Donald Fiorillo who visited every Saturday night to share suppers with him, his mother Barbara Fiorillo, his brother Gary Fiorillo. Donald graduated from Bristol High School in 1957. He went to work at Petit’s Supermarkets when they first opened as Packer #1 and eventually became the grocery store manager. When Petit’s closed, he went to work for Waz’ Supermarket and then to Staples in Southington as a shipping and receiving clerk. His first love everyone will tell you is that hunting was his enjoyment. He and his friends and nephews would go to the White Birch Lodge in Maine every year. Along with hunting in Maine, he enjoyed hunting deer on his own property with several large buck trophies. He just loved being with the guys who either called him Jed or Uncle Donnie. He loved to make a garden every year. He always helped and showed people what family really meant. He wanted us to thank all who cared and helped him on his journey, especially Doreen, a most caring and wonderful caregiver who stayed with him nights and Gladys his caregiver during the day. He had a close and loving relationship with his wife and often could be heard singing “Their Song” Willie Nelson’s Always on my Mind. We will miss him so much but we know he is in good hands where there is no pain or further suffering and God’s hands on his shoulders.
