Dolores G. Levasseur

Dolores G. (Gendreau) Levasseur, 84, of Bristol, widow of Herman Levasseur, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 10, 2023. Dolores was born in Van Buren, Maine on March 25, 1938 was one of five children to the late Adelard and Lena (St. Pierre) Gendreau. She moved to Bristol in 1956 after graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Maine. She worked for Aetna for 14 years as a Supervisor. Dolores lived in Florida from 1992 until her return to Bristol in 2018. She was a master doll maker, enjoyed ceramics, making stained glass, painting, skiing, snowmobiling and going to the cottage in Vermont. Dolores is survived by three children: Glenn Levasseur and his wife Lesa of Colchester, Mark Levasseur of Bristol, Christine Bruce and her husband Michael of Bristol; five grandchildren: Jessica and Justin Levasseur, Jennifer, Samantha and Jonathan Bruce; two great grandchildren: Benjamin and Gregory; a brother Joseph “Ivan” Gendreau of South Carolina; sister Irene Bourgoin of Florida and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, her two brothers Henry and Willard Gendreau predeceased her. 

Family and friends are invited to MEET directly to St. Ann Church, The Parish of St. Francis de Sales Parish at 215 West Street, Bristol on Friday , March 17, 2023 at 10 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bristol.
