Debra A. “Deb” MacKinnon, 63, of Bristol, died on Saturday (May 28, 2022) at Hartford Hospital.
Deb was born on December 19, 1958 in Bristol and was the only child of the late John and Pauline (Kahr) MacKinnon.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School. She went to college at Gannon University in Erie, PA where she received her Bachelor of Arts. She worked at Brookdale Chatfield Senior Living in West Hartford for 16 years, Price Chopper in Bristol, and most recently Fresh Market in Avon. She loved animals and enjoyed playing board games, baking, and cooking. She also loved to travel and made many fond memories taking cruises with her daughter.
Deb is survived by her daughter: Cristina MacKinnon and her fiancé, Richard Rivera of Woodbury; and her beloved cats: Cleo, Henry, Brie, and Baby.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be on Saturday, June 25th at 1pm at Page Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA.org).
