A member of Farmington High School's Class of 1960, Dave went on to attend Central Connecticut State University. A proud veteran, Dave served in the United States Army as a member of the military police stationed both in Fort Riley, Kansas and Vietnam from 1964-1966. Dave married Janet (Jan) Robotham in June 1968 and together they had son Michael Jendrejcak followed by Brian Jendrejcak. For thirty-five years, 1968-2003, Dave worked as a computer room supervisor for The Hartford Insurance Group. Not ready to slow down, Dave worked for Tilcon, Inc. from 2003 to 2017 before finally retiring. He may also be remembered by some as the part-time superintendent of the Tunxis Apartments in Unionville which he was from 1969-1975. Dave enjoyed traveling and he and Jan took many delightful trips around the United States, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Arizona, and California. For many years they also enjoyed spending time at their beach home on Cape Cap in Massachusetts. A dog lover, Dave had quite a few throughout the years- Shawn, Nikki, Kayla, Colby, and most recently, Brady. Dave was a history buff, especially military history, and always took pleasure in sharing the interesting things he read about or learned through watching documentaries. He was a consummate storyteller and very much enjoyed sharing stories of his time in the Army. Dave was a former member of the New Hartford Kingdom Game Club, the Enfield Elks, and the Bristol American Legion. Dave was a former member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Unionville and St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Bristol.
