Daniel Sokolowski

Daniel Sokolowski, 32, of Bristol, died suddenly on Sunday (May 3, 2020).  Dan was born in New Britain on July 8, 1987 and was a son of Henry and Danuta (Piotrowska) Sokolowski of Bristol. A lifelong Bristol resident, he attended Chippens Hill Middle School and Bristol Eastern High School.  He played baseball for Forestville Little League, loved basketball and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was a loving father, son, brother, cousin and nephew to many, as well as a great friend in his close circle of friends. Playing games, fishing, going to the park were just a few of his favorite activities to do with his sons. His exceptional taste for fashion and food made him a trendy, well dressed home cook who has always helped prepare family gatherings. Daniel was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, Bristol.  In the past, he worked for Joey Garlics and Mama Lukes and most recently as a landscaper. In addition to his parents, Dan leaves two sons: Jayden and Caleb Sokolowski, and their mother, Danielle; a brother, Andrew Sokolowski of Bristol; a sister: Karolina Blajerski and husband, Roman of Harwinton; three nephews: Cole Blajerski, Anthony and Landon Sokolowski; his two grandmothers and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Due to current restrictions, a private committal service and burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol is honored to serve the family.
