It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce, Daniel Gagnon, 64 of Bristol, CT, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021 at a nursing home, from complications of diabetes.
He was born on September 23, 1956, in Hartford, CT and was son to the late Rosaire and Simone (Labrie) Gagnon.
He was a devoted Catholic and proudly served as an Usher at St. Gregory’s Church, in Bristol, CT. During his child raising years, he would faithfully attend his son Phil's soccer games, and Krystal’s volleyball and softball games. He proudly volunteered as a Boy Scout leader when Phil was in Boys Scouts. Dan spent a lot of time teaching them the values of life and to be the best they can be.
Dan moved from Northern Maine to Connecticut in 1984. He spent most of his career dedicated to the Steel Erecting/Fabricating industry. He was a dedicated employee and foreman of Topper & Griggs, Plainville, for many years.
He was the loving father to his 3 children; Jeremy Batty (Alicia) of Norwich, CT,
Krystal (Emilio) Cepeda of Plantsville, CT and Phillip Gagnon of Bristol, CT, 2 grandchildren, Kalaeb and Kaiden. He also is survived by his former spouse, Brenda Arnold, mother to Krystal and Phil. Dan is also survived by his uncles, aunts, many cousins, a brother-in-law and sister-in law, and a very close friend, Ron Jacquemin. His family and friends will miss Dan immensely.
