Charlotte (Johnston) Morehouse, 76, of Bristol, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sheriden Woods in Bristol. She was the widow of Keith E. Morehouse. Charlotte was born on August 14, 1945 in Mars Hill, ME and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Claire (Fletcher) Johnston. She resided in Terryville before moving to Bristol four years ago and retired from CT Spring after 20 plus years of employment. Charlotte was a member of the Heritage United Pentecostal Church, Bristol.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Brian and Patricia Morehouse of Waycross, GA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Valerie and Paul Pelletier of Bristol and Fayetta Morehouse of Bristol; an adopted daughter, Linda Tambling of Georgia; six brothers, Charles Johnston of MA, Joseph Johnston, Thomas Johnston, Ralph Johnston, Edward Johnston, and Calvin Johnston all of ME; one sister Gloria Johnston of ME; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Keith, Selina Brinkley, Jynell Keith, Michael Keith, Devin Brinkley, Trevor Morehouse, and India Morehouse; three great grandchildren, Chase Mayo, Hailee and Logan Rubino; two step granddaughters, Shelby Levesque and Heather Michaud; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Charlotte was predeceased by her brothers; Dean Johnston, John Johnston, and Fred Johnston; sisters Hope Green, Barbara Johnston, Annie Johnston, Shern Johnston and great granddaughter Carlene Mae Rubino.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (May 6, 2022) at 10:30 AM at Heritage United Pentecostal Church, 48 Lewis St., Bristol, with Pastor David MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Thursday between 4 and 6 PM.
